Play World of Warcraft while taking a dump!!

Ole Crusty must be in a video game mood today, but I need to blog about this. How many of you out there play World Of Warcraft? I am guessing there are tons out there. I am a big a fan of video games as anybody, but I have yet to find a game that I must keep playing EVEN WHILE I TAKE A DUMP!  Evidently, some folks at MIT think differently and developed a World of Warcraft Pod that allows you to keep playing even while sitting on the built in toilet. Not only will you have a custom environment to play warcraft in, you can even experience the smell of kicking the shit out of someone (yeah, it had to be said).

3DRealms shutting down!

3D Realms (formerly Apogee Software), creators of such classic games as the Duke Nukem series and Wolfenstein 3D, is shutting its doors forever. Apogee Software, who re-established itself as a seperate entity sometime last year says that this will not affect them, nor the Duke Nukem series of games according to this link(3D Realms \”Situation\” Won\’t Affect Duke Nukem Trilogy, Apogee).  So what this really means is anybody’s guess. I guess we’ll know a bit more in the coming weeks.  It’s just sad to see another video game company go under.

IBM Patents A Way To Split Restaurant Bills! The End Is Near!

IBM, being the geniuses that they are, have finally decided how to split a restaurant bill amongst several people. It took them how many years in business to figure this out?????  They are so proud of this fact, that they applied and received a US Patent for it!

Patrons at a restaurant or bar can pay at their table using credit cards, without involving the restaurant or bar cashier and/or wait staff. Patrons are assisted using this system in dividing the bill by displaying the amount due (including tax) and allowing each patron to enter the amount they wish to pay. When the initial bill is presented, a balance due will be displayed and the indication will be provided that the bill has yet to be paid in full. As each transaction is entered, a running total will be displayed indicating the remaining balance due. When the running total reaches zero, the bill is paid in full, and an indication will be provided, such as by illuminating a green indicator light or by displaying a balance due of $0.00.
